Setlists allow you to group and arrange multiple songs, usually for a live performance.
To create a new setlist, go to the main songs screen, tap “Setlists” at the bottom, then press the button at the bottom left.
The main setlists screen displays existing setlists, along with the number of songs they contain and their total duration when available (this requires each song to have its duration set).
By swiping a setlist left or right, additional features appear:
- Swiping left allows you to delete a setlist (after confirmation).
-
Swiping right gives you two options:
Export the setlist:- As a LiveSet file, including both the setlist and all its songs
- As a PDF containing all songs in order
Or duplicate the setlist to create a new one.
Adding songs to a setlist
Using the button at the bottom of the screen, you can add songs from your library to the current setlist.
The selector that appears allows you to search and choose song(s) to add. The search field lets you search by title, artist/author name, or subtitle. You can also use existing tags to filter the results.
Simply tap a song to add it to the setlist.
Note: You can add the same song multiple times to a setlist if needed. In that case, LiveSet displays a small symbol next to it in the list to highlight this.
You can easily reorder songs by dragging them up or down using their handle ().
Adding an interlude
An interlude is a “page” in the setlist that is not a score, but can still contain musical information such as key, duration, or starting note.
Typical use cases include:
- A song you know well enough not to need a score (but where tempo/key info is still useful)
- A specific event in your set (e.g., a speech, a break, etc.)
In practice, an interlude replaces a “post-it note” or blank page in your set binder.
The interlude editor includes several fields, mostly optional except for the title:
- Interlude label
- A base key (for display)
- A first note (useful in Show time mode for singers starting without intro)
- A tempo (to use the metronome in Show time mode)
- A time signature
- An estimated duration (used in total setlist duration calculation)
Launching Show time mode
Using the button at the bottom right, you can launch Show time mode for the current setlist.
More information about this mode is available here.
